General information only
Everything on mushroomtelescope.com is published for general informational and educational purposes. Our guides describe common techniques and starting points for recording video on smartphones. They are not professional, technical, legal or purchasing advice, and they do not replace the documentation and support provided by the maker of your phone, app or accessory.
Devices and software differ
Phone cameras, camera apps and operating systems vary widely between manufacturers and models, and they change with software updates. A setting, menu or feature we describe may be named differently, located elsewhere, or not available on your device. We make no claims about the specifications or capabilities of any particular phone model.
Results vary
We do not promise any particular result from following our guides — not a level of image or sound quality, not audience growth, and not income or work. Outcomes depend on your device, your lighting and location, your subject, your practice and circumstances outside anyone's control. We do not publish testimonials, case studies or earnings figures.
No sponsorship or affiliate links
Our content is independent. We do not accept payment for coverage, we do not use affiliate links, and we do not sell the products or categories of product we write about. Where we mention a type of accessory, such as a tripod, gimbal or microphone, it is description rather than endorsement.
Trademarks
Brand names, product names and trademarks that may appear on this site belong to their respective owners. Their use is for identification only and does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.
Safety and the law
Do not film while driving or cycling, keep your attention on traffic and footpaths when filming on the move, and respect other people's privacy. Rules about filming people and places, and about recording audio, differ between countries and venues. Nothing here is legal advice.
External links

We work to keep our guides accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete, current or error-free. If you notice a mistake, please write to hello@mushroomtelescope.com.
