Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

This policy explains how Mushroom Telescope, operated by Graphic Packaging International, LLC. (“we”, “us”), handles personal information when you visit mushroomtelescope.com. We are an editorial publisher. We do not sell personal information, we do not run advertising on this site, and we do not build profiles of readers.

Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. Our pages do not write to your browser's local or session storage. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to. If we add any cookies or analytics in future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
Google Fonts and other third-party requests
Our pages load typefaces (Bricolage Grotesque and Literata) from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) to fetch the font files. That request necessarily shares your IP address and basic browser information with Google. Google processes this under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. If you block these requests, the site still works and falls back to fonts installed on your device.
Apart from our web host and Google Fonts, our pages do not load scripts, images or embeds from third parties.
Service providers
Our web hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf. If we connect the newsletter to an email delivery service in future, that provider will be named here before the form starts collecting addresses. Some providers may process data outside your country; where that happens, we rely on the safeguards available under applicable law.
Legal bases
- Legitimate interests — operating a secure website and answering messages you choose to send.
- Consent — a future newsletter, if and when it is connected. You could withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — keeping limited records where the law requires.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. California residents may also ask about the categories of information collected; we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email hello@mushroomtelescope.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, normally within 30 days, and may ask you to confirm your identity. We will not charge for reasonable requests or treat you differently for making one.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we keep the personal information we hold to a minimum. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page and highlight material changes on the site.
